Water Rights Protection Act

The following shall be added to Article II of the Arizona Constitution

"Water Rights Protection"

  • Section 1: Water rights are real property rights and shall be protected as such under the law.

  • Section 2: The legislature shall enact laws to protect these rights from impairment and to ensure the availability and quality of the state's water resources for the people of Arizona and future generations.
